Bridget Chanel Stagnitto grew up with a pencil in her hand. Creating her own worlds and living within her unlimited imagination. Her influences have always been the natural world and the magic to be found in the mundane. Thanks to her early school teachers who nurtured her talents and gave her the opportunity to work with oil paints which changed her course of artmaking for the best.
When it came time to choose a college to nurture her skills her middle school art teacher told her about Mills College. A magical and historical place to receive formal art training. Where Jay DeFeo had actually taught Bridget's middle school art teacher. Where Bridget was able to study under incredible artists like Hung Liu, Amy Franceschini, Ron Nagle, and many others. A place that expanded her knowledge of what art is and can be, and created space for exploration into sculpture and installation.
Today Bridget continues to make art and show in spaces in the Bay Area. She has been a part of collectives, been an in-house artist for a start-up, and build set designs. She also doubles as a digital designer, see her portfolio for that work here. She looks forward to future collaborations, shows, and commission works. Reach out to work together!
